Joining forces

So a while ago I was all “dolls dolls dolls!”

I have a huge love for dolls they are the owners personality in a beautifully constructed miniature and I think they are just beautiful.

unfortunately my imagination just could get enough speed to finish them or make their stories.

but now I gave joined forces with an illustrator!!

he can actually take my dolls and make their back story come alive.

not only that but he has some great ideas for characters which I can bring off the page and give personalities!!

the possibilities are endless!! And the friends we can make are just right.

Shrink plastic anyone?

I have just ordered shrink plastic.

its one of those impulse purchases that I’ve been thinking about for years…. Maby not that impulsive then.

I have loads of little drawings and whatnots thoughts and type faces that I would love to make into tiny pieces and pretty things.

but short of paying a company to print them onto something in a bulk order of a million pieces I had no way of transferring them from sketchbook to fashion piece.

I have long been a fan of tatty divine jewellery and its inspired me to speculate The £7.50 and go for it!!

results to come!!

also if you would like to see what harm idea I’m thinking today then search Elephants Hankie on pinterest and twitter!!

So you wanna be a crafter!

I think this phrase should be barked in some kind of Sargent major voice in a loud American accent coz its just that hard!!

How do you do it? How can anyone do it?

I’m finding it hard to even get motivated to go for a run after 10 hour shifts and yet to sit there and use my brain is just even harder.

can anyone give me a few hints? Is there a magic potion or something that no one has told me about?

Praying too a copy of Mollie makes certainly didn’t help and craft fairs seem to be few and far between in my neck of the woods unless you want to pay a months wages.

And   of course at some point I expect to pay that much but I’m not even sure I my work is any good.

In short……. HELP!!!

The great British outdoors!!

my partner is a country boy, no doupt denying it.

I thought I was a city girl, and that suited me just fine.

but strangely I have found myself sitting in parks, listening to silence.

a copy of country life found its way into my basket at the book shop.

I love the little village we live in and would like it to be smaller without the kfc.

and I want a farm….

I realise I’m probably not cut out just yet to raise at dawn and take on pigs but I starting to find the idea of living in a city really……. Boring.

I also want to make things, jams, soap, chocolate, relish, chilli powder, fresh fried eggs and warm soft bread.

happiness is everything in this world and the dream of opening my curtains to a spall farm garden with a few chickens and a pig pen makes me grin from ear to ear.

so…. Country life how do I subscribe?!?!

COFFEE!!

I never thought I could love a drink as much as I love coffee!

Honestly it’s like a hug for your senses when your not feeling too great.

I would love to set up my own little coffee shop and just give it for free to anyone who looked a but peeky….

unfortunately giving things away for free never got anyone a business so I guess ill have yo charge you.

the city I live in seems oblivious yo good coffee as well as adventurous food and interesting films.

any ideas where a country living subscription holder can move to find herself?

Well, that escalated quickly!

I have stock, as in products! I actually have things I have made which I can put up for sale.

I may sound shocked at this and I probably am as I just looked in my “finished” box and there are loads!

The problem is now that I don’t have a decent camera and even if I did how do I take photographs of products?

To Mollie makes!! for inspiration.

It just seems so complicated making things, taking good photos, getting them online, describing them correctly, packaging, business cards, blogging, updating, sharing, linking and then sitting staring hopefully at the screen waiting for someone to buy one.

The last time I started something like this I rushed and then ended up in this horrible place where I was desperately putting up posts of half finished frankly rubbish pieces to make my site look full.

WELL NOT THIS TIME!

This time i’m going to hide under a blanket until my work is finished then I might peek out lol

Etsy confidence

Etsy is a scary wonderful place full of people with really expensive cameras who know what they are doing.

I want to be one of them but I don’t have a camera and I don’t know what Im doing.

I know how to make a coffee or sew the hem on some trousers.

but I want to know more than that I want to sell my things but I never think they are good enough.

so this isent a post its more like a cry for help!!
